West Franklin waltzed into their match  on Monday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They walked away with  a   10-5  victory over the Crest Lancers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  7-6  on Monday.
 Brig Corwine and  Gunnar McMahan made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Corwine   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  McMahan   struck out 11 batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits (and not a single walk). Those  11  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. At bat,  Corwine  got on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  runs, while  McMahan  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Zeek Dowd was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  double.
 West Franklin  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crest only posted  an  OBP of  .250.
West Franklin's win was  their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 20-1. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Crest, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record  this season.
 West Franklin will venture away from home to  take on Osage City  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Falcons are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. Crest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
