Basketball Game Preview: Pinewood Christian Patriots vs. Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats

Two dominant guards in Banks Hearn and Gavin Fox are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Pinewood Christian Patriots will head out to square off against the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pinewood Christian came up short against Citizens Christian Academy on Friday, falling 63-40. While losing is never fun, Pinewood Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 498th, while Citizens Christian Academy is ranked 206th).

Despite the defeat, Pinewood Christian got top-tier performance from Hearn, who posted 29 points. The game was Hearn's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Sam Wasson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Westminster Schools of Augusta challenged St. Andrew's on Friday. Westminster Schools of Augusta had to suffer through a 77-43 loss at the hands of St. Andrew's. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Westminster Schools of Augusta's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Pinewood Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
