Volleyball Recap: Lower Dauphin Falcons vs. Northern York Polar Bears
Lower Dauphin was the 3-0 winner over Northern York when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Polar Bears by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Falcons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Polar Bears since on Tuesday.
Lower Dauphin took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-12, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13.
Leading Northern York to victory were Tyler Allen and Ty Witmer. Allen had ten digs and three aces, while Witmer had 16 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Witmer a new career-high.
Lower Dauphin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Northern York, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3.
