Basketball Game Preview: Carmel Corsairs vs. North Chicago Warhawks

The Carmel Corsairs will head out on the road to face off against the North Chicago Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carmel is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Wauconda by a score of 58-47 last Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Chicago, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over Grayslake North on Saturday.

North Chicago's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Carmel, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-10 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Carmel against North Chicago in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, as the squad secured a 65-38 victory. Does Carmel have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Chicago turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
