Elkton/Lake Benton MN was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Estelline. The Elks came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.

Deubrook extended the longest winning streak in Dakota Valley (9 Man) this week by beating DeSmet/Iroquois, 59-8. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Dolphins.

Deubrook's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Taylor Olsen threw for 94 and two touchdowns and Cory Byers had 49 yards receiving. On the ground Ryan Knutson chipped in 285 yards. Riley Hanson helped Deubrook's passing attack out by catching one ball for 45 yards.

Patrick Bertsch made the biggest impact on defense this week as Lake Preston topped Oldham-Ramona/Rutland. The 6-foot-3 senior racked up one sack.

Deubrook's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dolphins feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Olsen has thrown for 518 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Dustin Trooien has 15 catches for 196 yards. Knutson leads the league in rushing with 1437 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Arlington and Adolph Shepardson's team. The Cardinals enters the game ranked 10th in the state, while the Dolphins ranks 12th.

Two of the top units in Dakota Valley (9 Man) will face off this week when Deubrook takes on Arlington. The Dolphins' offense has recorded 351 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Steve Gilbertson's team has permitted only 73 on the year.

The Divers were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, Lake Preston defeated the Raiders 40-0.
