After losing to Ramona the last time they met, Mira Mesa decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Marauders had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 2-1.

Mira Mesa's offense was headlined by Kalilea Popperwill and Kanaiya Parham, who picked up five kills apiece. Parham really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Mira Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Ramona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Mira Mesa will face off against Oceanside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ramona, they will be playing in front of their home fans against El Capitan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
