Basketball Recap: Addison Trail Takes a Loss

Addison Trail lost against Hinsdale South back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Addison Trail Blazers took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hinsdale South Hornets. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hinsdale South's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brynn Diedrich, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 20 points along with seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists gave Diedrich a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maeve Savage, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards.

Addison Trail's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Hinsdale South, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Addison Trail will challenge Proviso West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hinsdale South, they will face off against Downers Grove South at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
