Hononegah is a perfect 9-0 against Rockford East since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Indians will take on the E-Rabs at 7:15 p.m. Rockford East took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Hononegah, who comes in off a win.

Hononegah will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up ten points last Friday, then bounced right back against Freeport on Friday. The Indians blew past the Pretzels 38-8. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-8.

Tyler Banker and Drew Shockley were among the main playmakers for Hononegah as the former rushed for 89 yards and four TDs on only 12 carries and the latter rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

Hononegah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brady Jarvis, Mykell Mueller, and Alex Peterson picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Rockford East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 40-26 bruising from Rockford Auburn. Surprisingly, this marked the E-Rabs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Rockford East's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hononegah, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Hononegah against Rockford East in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 44-15 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
