Baseball Recap: Hawaii Prep Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Hawaii Prep was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They fell 6-2 to the Kealakehe Waveriders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ka Makani of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Kamea Leleiwi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. What's more, he also racked up three hits, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

Hawaii Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Hawaii Prep will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Kea'au at 11:00 a.m. As for Kealakehe, they will head out on the road to face off against Hawaii Prep at 3:00 p.m. on January 29th.
