Softball Recap: Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Jacksonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Kerens Bobcats.

Jacksonville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Ramirez, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Mahala Sotelo also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Kerens, their win bumped their record up to 5-2-1.

Coincidentally, Jacksonville and Kerens will both be playing Alba-Golden the next time they take the field. Jacksonville will head out to face Alba-Golden at 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, while Kerens will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
