Basketball Game Preview: Claremont Wolfpack vs. University Trojans

The Claremont Wolfpack and the University Trojans will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Claremont is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight games dating back to last season on Tuesday. They took a blow against Roosevelt, falling 78-43.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nolan Zitar, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 12 points and five assists. Aaron Gapo was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 12 points.

Meanwhile, University came up short against Glendora on Tuesday and fell 45-37.

University's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Claremont, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Claremont couldn't quite finish off University in their previous matchup back in November of 2019 and fell 71-68. Can the Wolfpack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
