Softball Recap: Carrabec Comes Up Short

Carrabec and Monmouth Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Carrabec had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 14-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Cobras in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Karen Baker made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Carrabec's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Monmouth Academy, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

As of now, neither Carrabec nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
