Basketball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 34th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles 67-38. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 91-32 back in December of 2024.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Clyde-Savannah, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion will challenge East Rochester at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in East Rochester's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. Clyde-Savannah has already played their next game (against North Rose-Wolcott), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
