Sam Smith Game Report: vs Layton

Opposing passers better start keeping an eye on Sam Smith: he recorded his first sack on Saturday and we're guessing he's looking for more. He also made one tackle (1.0 for loss) as West Field took down Layton 27-25. We hope Smith's good performance is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.

Looking ahead, Smith and West Field will challenge Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Silverwolves will enter the matchup having just beaten Box Elder, so the Longhorns will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
