Preview: Duchesne Eagles vs. San Juan Broncos
The Duchesne Eagles will look to defend their home court on Friday against the San Juan Broncos at 7:00 p.m.
After a string of four wins, Duchesne's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tabiona.
Meanwhile, even though Gunnison Valley scored an imposing 55 points on Friday, San Juan still came out on top. San Juan took their contest against the Bulldogs 63-55. The win made it back-to-back wins for San Juan.
San Juan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but RJ Dalley led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Anthony Done, who scored 18 points.
Duchesne's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for San Juan, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Duchesne came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 69-66. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Done, who scored 21 points along with six assists and five steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Duchesne still be able to contain Done? There's only one way to find out.
