While Huntington's win against Paint Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huntsmen narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bearcats 9-7. The win continues a trend for the Huntsmen in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now won six in a row.

Gracie Slaughter looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had over her last seven games.

At the plate, Allie Baker was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tori Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs.

Huntington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paint Valley only posted a batting average of .185.

Huntington's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Paint Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
