Baseball Recap: Burlington Takes a Loss

Burlington lost against Fowler on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 5-4. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burlington saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Darian McDonough, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Aaron Knight was another, getting four hits from his four at bats.

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fowler, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burlington will welcome Colby at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fowler, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Calhan at 4:00 p.m. The Grizzlies are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
