Basketball Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

South Point lost against Stuart W. Cramer on February 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The South Point Red Raiders were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to the Stuart W. Cramer Storm. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Red Raiders still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why South Point lost, don't look at Amya Graham. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds. The match was Graham's ninth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Toney Milton, who posted 12 points.

Even though they lost, South Point was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stuart W. Cramer only nine assists.

It was another big night for Oshauna Holland, who went 13-for-25 en route to 41 points for Stuart W. Cramer. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Holland has scored at least a third of Stuart W. Cramer's points. Hadley Womack was another key player, putting up 12 points and five steals.

South Point's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Stuart W. Cramer, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.

As of now, neither South Point nor Stuart W. Cramer have any future games scheduled.
