Basketball Game Preview: Mount Pleasant Green Knights vs. MOT Charter Mustangs

The Mount Pleasant Green Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the MOT Charter Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Thursday, Mount Pleasant was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-49 to Odessa.

MOT Charter played against McKean and won via forfeit.

The win made it two in a row for MOT Charter and bumps their season record up to 8-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points over those games. As for Mount Pleasant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Mount Pleasant strolled past MOT Charter when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 54-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Pleasant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
