Meanwhile, Yorktown escaped with a win on Friday against McLean by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44. The 45-point effort marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Wakefield now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Yorktown, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
