Softball Recap: Overhills Wins Going Away Against E.E. Smith

Overhills won the last time they faced E.E. Smith and things went their way on Friday too. Overhills blew past E.E. Smith 14-2. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won five matches by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Serenity McLean was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Laila Daniel was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

Overhills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Overhills' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for E.E. Smith, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
