Volleyball Recap: Mancos Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mancos was the 3-1 winner over Salida when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bluejays lost 3-0 to the Spartans on Saturday.

Mancos took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Salida to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Fisher, who had 20 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Fisher a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hazel Brown, who had 12 digs and six kills.

Mancos' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Salida, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Mancos will venture away from home to take on Dove Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salida, they will welcome Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
