Basketball Recap: Klein Collins Takes a Loss

Klein Collins was the 64-30 winner over Klein Cain when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Klein Collins Tigers fell 49-38 to the Klein Cain Hurricanes on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 805th).

Klein Collins has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-6 record this season. As for Klein Cain, they moved to 3-14 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Klein Collins will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Klein Forest at 12:00 p.m. on December 31st. Klein Cain and Fort Bend Marshall will round out the year against one another at at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
