Wheatley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks 81-65 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Hardin-Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cordell Lowe, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 15 points. The game was his third in a row with at least 15 points. Owen Sieve was another key player, shooting 50% from the field to rack up 13 points and five rebounds.

Wheatley's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-12.

Looking ahead, Wheatley will take on Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.69 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
