Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Eagle's View

Eagle's View had won three straight games and MARCUS CARTER JR did his part to make it four on Friday. Everything went the Eagle's View Warriors' way against the First Coast Christian Knights as the Eagle's View Warriors made off with an 89-64 victory thanks in part to CARTER JR, who went 13 of 17 on his way to 32 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of CORI LAVOILE, who posted ten points along with seven steals and five boards. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

First Coast Christian's loss came despite strong showings from David Ellis Jr. and Chase Bradshaw. Ellis Jr. went 9 of 18 on his way to 23 points in addition to five assists and four steals, while Bradshaw went 10 of 13 on his way to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Tahrell Gilbert, who had six points and six assists.

Eagle's View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for First Coast Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

The future could be bright for both Eagle's View and First Coast Christian: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Eagle's View will try to hand Stanton their 11th-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, First Coast Christian will try to hand Parsons Christian Academy their ninth-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
