Volleyball Recap: Burroughs Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Burroughs had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knight Hawks. The Burros haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-15, 25-16.

Burroughs' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexa Santiago, who had seven digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Santiago a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burroughs will head out to face off against Tehachapi at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Knight, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Canyon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
