Softball Recap: Mountain View Bruins vs. Boulder City Eagles
Mountain View proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 15) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Boulder City Eagles, sneaking past 8-6.
Saralynn Hair was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. Those home runs marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Lucy Clark, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Mountain View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in four consecutive games.
Mountain View now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Boulder City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Coming up, Mountain View will take on Green Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boulder City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Western at 3:30 p.m. on March 24th.
