The Chico Panthers will face off against the Reno Huskies at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Chico is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Chico easily dispatched Central Valley on March 6th, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Chico fell just short of University Prep by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Chico has suffered since April 27, 2024.

Chico saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Babler, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Reno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Foothill, falling 13-1.

Chico's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Reno, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-1.

Everything went Chico's way against Reno in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Chico made off with an 11-4 victory. Will Chico repeat their success, or does Reno has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
