Soccer Game Preview: Maiden vs. West Iredell + How To Watch

The Maiden Blue Devils will head out on the road to take on the West Iredell Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maiden's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 14 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Maiden fell victim to Bunker Hill and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Bears.

Meanwhile, West Iredell has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 18. They fell just short of North Lincoln by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, West Iredell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 358th, while North Lincoln are ranked 177th).

West Iredell's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-4. As for Maiden, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Maiden suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to West Iredell when the teams last played back in September. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Blue Devils were down 4-0.
