Basketball Game Preview: Alamance Christian Warriors vs. Tabernacle Christian Conquerors

The Alamance Christian Warriors will take on the Tabernacle Christian Conquerors in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Alamance Christian has six straight victories, Tabernacle Christian has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Alamance Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away Faith Christian. They walked away with a 72-64 win over the Eagles. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Warriors were down 47-32 in the third quarter.

Meanwhile, Tabernacle Christian played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Wilkes Central and fell 72-43. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.

Alamance Christian pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Tabernacle Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Alamance Christian strolled past Tabernacle Christian in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 73-56. Does Alamance Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tabernacle Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
