Lutheran North's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Hancock Tigers as they made off with a 15-5 win. Considering the Crusaders have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Kyler Reno was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Lutheran North is 5-1 when Reno posts two or more runs, but 6-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Adonis Bledsoe, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Lutheran North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.
Lutheran North's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12. As for Hancock, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21-1.
Lutheran North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hancock, they will head out to take on Bishop DuBourg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
