            Basketball Recap: Brillion Lions vs. Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers        
        
		
        
        
            Brillion and Manitowoc Lutheran squared off in some playoff action  on Saturday, but Brillion had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers by a score of  59-56. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Lancers are ranked 44th).
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Camden Hale, who  went 5-for-10  on her way to 18  points and three  steals.  Emma Schuh was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double with 13 points and nine  boards.
 Even though they lost, Brillion was working as a unit and  finished the game with 14  assists. This was only their fifth loss (out of 21 games) when  they've passed the ball that well.

With the  defeat, Brillion broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Manitowoc Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with the  victory, which was their 18th straight  at home dating back to last season.
As of now, neither Brillion nor Manitowoc Lutheran have any future games scheduled.
