Basketball Recap: Marina Comes Up Short

Marina lost against Rancho San Juan back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Marina Mariners fell 73-64 to the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), the Mariners still had to take the loss.

Marina has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Rancho San Juan, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-8 record.

Marina has already played their next game (against North Monterey County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rancho San Juan will square off against Seaside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rancho San Juan is facing Seaside at the right time seeing as Seaside is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
