Baseball Recap: Tiverton's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Tiverton's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Scarlet Knights back in April, they had to take a 14-0 loss.

Kamryn Rego made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tiverton is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-10 otherwise. Rego was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Noah Mercer was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. John Faria was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Tiverton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-7.

As of now, neither Tiverton nor the Scarlet Knights have any future games scheduled.
