Mt. Pleasant has gone 9-1 against Texas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mt. Pleasant Tigers will welcome the Texas Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Mt. Pleasant is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Mt. Pleasant needed a bit of extra time to put away Hallsville. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bobcats, sneaking past 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since December 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, Texas unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hallsville. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Bobcats are ranked 121st).

Texas' defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Mt. Pleasant, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
