Volleyball Recap: Summer Creek Bulldogs vs. Dickinson Gators

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Summer Creek can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Dickinson Gators on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.

Summer Creek was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Dickinson work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 22-25, 25-12.

Dickinson was led to victory by Daryeon Allen and Kobie Rodriguez. Allen had 22 digs, while Rodriguez had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Rodriguez has posted since back in September.

This is the second loss in a row for Summer Creek and nudges their season record down to 22-21. As for Dickinson, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 33-12.

As of now, neither Summer Creek nor Dickinson have any future games scheduled.
