After a string of four wins, St. Marys's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Williamstown Yellowjackets, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

St. Marys was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-17.

Alyssa Winland and Rylee Renner certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Winland had 18 digs, while Renner had 19 assists and four digs. Renner has been hot, having posted 18 or more assists the last six times she's played.

St. Marys' loss dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Williamstown, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-8-1.
