Football Recap: Encinal Takes a Loss

Encinal extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were beaten by the Arroyo Dons 48-0. The Jets lost against the Dons in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 32-10 score last time.

As for Arroyo, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.4 points on average over those games.

Arroyo had a senior duo take command as Joseph Estes rushed for 103 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries and Robert Mcgehee gained 115 total yards and two touchdowns.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Encinal is set to take on their familiar foe American at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Arroyo will face off against rival Alameda at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
