Recap: Clifton Central Comets vs. Peotone Blue Devils        
        
		
            
 The Clifton Central Comets had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Peotone by a score of  49-41. That's another feather in the cap for Clifton Central, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Clifton Central got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Aidan Podowicz out in front who  scored 15 points along with two  steals. Podowicz is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last five games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Blake Chandler, who  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and ten  rebounds.
 Clifton Central pushed their record up to 17-9 with that  win, which was their tenth straight  at home. Those victories were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Peotone, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clifton Central won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Herscher at 7:00  p.m.  on February 7th. As for Peotone, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Wilmington at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
