2A Region 2 recap October 8, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A Region 2 this week, Samson beat Providence Christian 41-18. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Samson made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,923 from 8,538. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 41-18 victory over the Eagles last week.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Houston Academy takes on the Tigers. The Raiders are in third place, while Samson is in first place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Cottonwood takes on Long. The Bears have allowed 106 points this season, while the Rebels have given up 73.
