Basketball Recap: Midview Middies vs. Berea-Midpark Titans
Midview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Berea-Midpark Titans 84-56. If the Middies were looking for revenge after losing 77-38 to the Titans when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Midview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Xavier Young, who went 12-for-21 en route to 27 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Jockel, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
Midview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Berea-Midpark, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midview will be home for the holidays to greet North Ridgeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Middies will be up against the Rangers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Berea-Midpark, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Avon at 7:00 p.m.
