Basketball Game Preview: Berkner Rams vs. Centennial Titans

The Berkner Rams and the Centennial Titans will round out the year against one another at at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Berkner knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Centennial likes a good challenge.

Berkner is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lake Highlands just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 71-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Centennial didn't have too much trouble with Frisco on Friday as they won 46-32. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Raccoons are ranked 735th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Centennial has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Berkner, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Berkner came up short against Centennial in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 54-47. Can Berkner avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
