Softball Recap: Capistrano Valley Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Capistrano Valley won the last time they faced Dana Hills and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cougars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dolphins, sneaking past 4-2. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Dolphins on their field since May 9, 2016.

Kenley Hitzler was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Samantha Kelly was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Capistrano Valley's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10. As for Dana Hills, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.

Coincidentally, Capistrano Valley and Dana Hills will both be playing Aliso Niguel the next time they take the field. The Cougars will head out to face the Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Dolphins will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
