The victory didn't come easy: Trinity Catholic scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Berkeley Prep made easy work of Cardinal Mooney on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Berkeley Prep's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-14.

Plant's record is now 12-8. As for Berkeley Prep, their record now sits at 6-7.

Everything went Plant's way against Berkeley Prep in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Plant made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
