Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Local Comes Up Short

Buckeye Local came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Beaver Local Beavers. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Beavers when the teams met back in September of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-8, 25-9.

Jenna DelVecchio paced Buckeye Local's offense, picking up two kills. DelVecchio got some help from Samantha Westfall and her four assists.

Buckeye Local has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Beaver Local, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Buckeye Local didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Shadyside on the 6th. As for Beaver Local, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Steubenville on the 6th.
