Soccer Game Preview: Pell City vs. Helena

The Pell City Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Helena Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Pell City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Pell City's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Lincoln by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Pell City were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Helena got the win against Calera on Thursday by a conclusive 5-1. Considering Helena have won 11 contests by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Calera with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Madeleine Blumstein (2), Kate Hendrix (2), and Baileigh Rumage.

Helena is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 79 goals over those ten matches. As for Pell City, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-2.
