Soccer Game Preview: Spruce Creek vs. Nease

The Spruce Creek Hawks will square off against the Nease Panthers at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Spruce Creek's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, Spruce Creek came up short against Timber Creek and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Wolves are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Nease got the win against Wolfson on Monday by a conclusive 7-2. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Nease is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those eight games. As for Spruce Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6-2.
