Basketball Game Preview: Temecula Valley Golden Bears vs. West Covina Bulldogs

The Temecula Valley Golden Bears will take on the West Covina Bulldogs in a tournament on Friday. Temecula Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully West Covina likes a good challenge.

Temecula Valley is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Elsinore just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took an 82-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Tigers are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, West Covina came up short against Edgewood on Wednesday and fell 52-43.

West Covina's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Temecula Valley, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 10-3.
