Preview: Jefferson Bulldogs vs. Troup Tigers
After five games on the road, Jefferson is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Troup Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Jefferson had to suffer through a rough 69-34 loss at the hands of Tatum. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 445th, while Tatum is ranked 133rd).
Meanwhile, Troup made easy work of Arp on Tuesday and carried off a 51-27 win.
Jefferson's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6. As for Troup, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Jefferson was able to grind out a solid win over Troup in their previous meeting back in January, winning 40-33. Does Jefferson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Troup turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
