Basketball Recap: Wells Piles Up the Points Against Indian Lake Central

Wells had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Indian Lake Central Indians 80-46. That looming 80-46 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wells CSD yet this season.

Wells' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Brooks led the charge by going 9 for 19 on his way to 24 points and eight assists. The dominant performance gave Brooks a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Oliver Stuart, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 14 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Brooks wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Wells was working as a unit and finished the game with 30 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Wells pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Indian Lake Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wells will host Johnsburg Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wells has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 210 points over their last three matches.
